Means: You qualify for this month. Payment is being processed.
Do: Wait for SMS with payment date. Confirm banking details are current.
Means: Application received, SASSA still running database checks.
Do: Wait 5-15 working days. Do not reapply.
Means: A verification check failed. Reason shown beneath status.
Do: Read the decline reason, then appeal within 90 days.
Means: R370 already sent to your chosen payment channel.
Do: Collect at your bank, Pick n Pay, or Post Office.
Means: Approved but no payment method on file.
Do: Submit banking details on the SASSA portal.
Means: SASSA could not verify your ID with Home Affairs.
Do: Confirm your ID at Home Affairs, then reapply or appeal.
Means: You reapplied; SASSA is processing the new application.
Do: Wait. Most reapplications resolve within 30 days.
Means: You or SASSA cancelled the application.
Do: Reapply at srd.sassa.gov.za if you still qualify.
